6 Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Pimples Fast At Home

Pimple is a normal skin condition that affects many people. It is an inflammation of the skin in which the sebaceous glands (oil glands) become infected with bacteria, swell up, and get filled with pus. I know how annoying pimples can be, and how they often kill confidence, and make us miserable.

When it comes to taking care of my skin, I love to go about it the natural way 90% of the time, and this is because I know most skincare products contain chemicals that could be harsh on the skin, or make your acne worse.

However, taking care of your skin the natural may take a longer time for you to see results, but it's definitely worth it. I barely have pimples except when my period is around the corner; and usually, I let it clear by maintaining a good hygiene - but this doesn't mean that I don't use facial cleansers! In fact, I have a favorite cleanser that is quite effective at getting rid of pimples, and I'll share it with you guys soon.

It is important to know that you have to always wash your face, at least twice a day, and stay hydrated. Typically, I only wash my face with soap at night, and just water in the morning.

If you would like to try these natural tips, then here are a few:

1. ICE

Ice can be used to quickly reduce the redness, swelling, and inflammation of pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in tightening the skin pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can use ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever is convenient...

How to:

*Wrap the ice in a piece of cloth and hold it on the affected skin area for about 5 minutes

*Wait a for 10 minutes, and repeat the process.

2. LEMON

Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C, but please be careful with this, especially if you have an open wound. It can irritate your skin, or even hurt you real bad.

Lemon juice helps pimples dry up faster. Be sure to use fresh lemon juice, and not bottled juice, which has preservatives. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy.

How to:

*Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice, and apply it to the pimples before going to bed. You can also mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder, or baking soda, and put it on the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water.

However, this particular remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin because it can be irritating like I said.

3. GARLIC

Garlic is an antiviral, anti-fungal, and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of pimples. The sulfur in garlic also promotes quick healing of pimples.

How to:

*Cut a fresh garlic clove into two pieces. Rub the garlic on the pimples and leave it for five minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.

*Repeat the treatment several times a day. Eating one raw garlic clove daily can also help purify your blood. But do not to eat too much raw garlic as it can upset the stomach.

4. GREEN TEA

This may have contributed to me not having pimples even though I keep a late night. Green tea is anti-inflammatory, and contains an antioxidant that can help with getting rid of pimples. I do drink green tea, but if you don't, or can't, you can make one, let it cool, pour in a spray bottle, and spritz on your face.

Please don't take more than two cups a day - as too much of it isn't good!

You can also refrigerate the tea bags after you've drained out the water, and plop them on your acne.

5. LIMIT YOUR USE OF MAKEUP

I know you feel like it's cool to cover pimples with makeup; but this can do more harm than good by clogging your pores, and causing more breakouts. If you must apply makeup, then please make sure you're using a noncomedogenic foundation, or concealer so your skin doesn't get irritated.

If you can, let your skin breathe without makeup. You'll appreciate it at the long run

Ps, please remember to wash off your makeup before going to bed.

6. LIMIT YOUR SUN EXPOSURE, AND WEAR A SUNSCREEN ALWAYS

Frequent sun exposure dehydrates the skin which causes it to produce more oil, and block your pores. Wearing sunscreen can help protect your skin all year-round. It's best to get an oil-free sunscreen.

SUMMARY

1. Do not pick on your pimples.. it could lead to more pimples, irritation, and possibly a scar.

2. Tone down on the toner. Astringents can disrupt the skin's barrier, and cause inflammation. Unless your skin is very oily, I think you shouldn't use them because they'll dry out your skin.

3. Don't sleep with makeup on. Yours pores will get clogged, and you'll breakout.

4. Know your trigger foods. It's important that you know whether you breakout when you eat certain foods, so you can avoid them.

5. Stop believing everything you read, or every product you see. When you find what works for you, stick to it.

That's it, guys. I hope you find these tips helpful.. xx

9 Psychological Facts About Love

Let me start by saying that I'm not a love nor a relationship expert; but I've found these to be true. Growing up, I never questioned what love is because I had a lot of it from my family; and I'll simply tell anyone that love is genuine care, and selflessness.  I once read a Christian book that said that Agape Love  is the purest form of love, but I'm not defining what love is, or is not, today! Below, I'll be sharing some psychological facts about love especially for romantic relationships . Photo Credit : Unsplash

I Do Not Conform

This is just one of those topics I didn’t think deeply about; just some random thoughts on a random rainy cold night, put into writing! You ever scrolled through social media, and saw one of those posts that say “A woman is 'supposed to'….”? Oh my! How much I detest stuff like that.

How Living A Private Life Can Make You Stronger And Happier

Sighs...  We live in a generation where people feel like, or think that if you aren't posting nor sharing almost every moment of your life on social media, then nothing good is happening to you; and you're sad. I’ll be sharing this based on my personal experience; but let me explain what it means to live a private life. It means not sharing every personal detail about your life publicly. However, privacy is not the same as secrecy because people often confuse the two. Also, living a private life doesn't mean that you shouldn’t ask for help when you're in dire need of it. As an introvert, I keep most personal stuff to myself; but I used to trust easily until I learned the hard way. I learned that not everyone means well for you; and the scary part of it is that you may never know.  Photo Credit: Deposit photos
